December digestive – ginger rocks

Fresh ginger tea is one of natures wonders, if you are feeling cold it’s warming and  it’s great in helping  to combat the on set of coughs and colds, then at the latter stages  ginger helps  to  clear unwanted  mucus and phlegm, after a heavy meal it is a  perfect  digestive and  as  an antidote to food poisoning  ginger is definitely something every  household  should  never  to be without.

INGREDIENTS

for 1-2 small cups

  • a small knob of fresh ginger grated
  • 2 – 3 cups of filtered water

bring the grated ginger and water to the boil and simmer for 5-8 minutes

strain into the cups and add a little honey is you wish,

sit back and enjoy.

So simple and so good.
